Answer:
Anne’s hair is honey-coloured, which means golden-yellow. She says that she could dye it brown, black or another colour. She would do this to make herself less physically attractive so that young men might value her for her personality rather than her beauty.

Different qualities make an object attractive to buyers. For example, while selling a mobile phone, I would highlight its good camera, long battery life, strong performance, storage capacity and reasonable price. These features can make one phone more useful and desirable than another.

Question 4: What about people? Do we love others because we like their qualities, whether physical or mental? Is it possible to love someone “for themselves alone”? Are some people “more lovable” than others?

People may be attracted to others because of their physical or mental qualities. However, true love should not depend only on appearance, wealth or other qualities. A person can be loved for their nature, kindness and true self. Every person has qualities that can make them lovable.

Question 5: You have perhaps concluded that people are not objects to be valued for their qualities or riches rather than for themselves. But elsewhere Yeats asks the question: How can we separate the dancer from the dance? Is it possible to separate the person himself or herself from how the person looks, sounds, walks, and so on? Think of how you or a friend or member of your family has changed over the years. Has your relationship also changed? In what way?
Answer:
A person’s appearance, voice and behaviour are parts of their identity, so they cannot be completely separated from the person. However, these features may change with age and experience. For example, a friend may become more mature over the years, but the relationship can become stronger and deeper because of better understanding and shared experiences.
